Plastic Cleanup Drives

Hands-on, volunteer-powered drives that anyone can join — turning a single morning into visible change.

Overview

What this program is about.

A cleanup drive is the most direct way to fight plastic pollution: show up, and the waterbody is measurably cleaner by the time you leave. No specialist skills, no long commitment — just people, gloves, and a few focused hours.

We run drives with villages, schools, colleges and companies, as well as open weekend events for individuals. Every drive is organised around safety and impact: a short briefing, assigned stretches, equipment provided, and a sort-and-weigh station so you can see exactly what your group pulled out.

The drives do more than clean. They turn neighbours into volunteers, give students a first real taste of environmental work, and build the local momentum that keeps a place clean long after the bags are tied.

What we do

On the ground, this looks like…

01

Open to everyone

First-timers, families, students and teams are all welcome — every drive includes a short orientation.

02

Equipment & safety provided

Gloves, bags, tools and a safety briefing come standard. You bring water and good shoes.

03

Group & corporate drives

We host dedicated drives for schools, colleges and companies looking for a real-impact team day.

04

Measured impact

We weigh and log every haul, so your group leaves with a number — not just a good feeling.

Why it matters

The stakes, plainly.

Cleanups are the fastest, most tangible way to make a difference — the result is visible the same day.

A volunteer who attends one drive is far more likely to change how they handle waste for good.

Collective action shifts what a community treats as normal — and informal dumping starts to feel unacceptable.
