Liability Waiver & Consent
Please read this Waiver and Consent carefully before registering. By accepting it during sign-up, you confirm you understand the risks of volunteering with The Reset Foundation and agree to the terms below. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must accept these terms on your behalf.
Assumption of risk
Cleanup drives and related activities take place outdoors and can involve physical exertion, uneven terrain, heat, water, and contact with waste and sharp objects. I understand these activities carry inherent risks of injury, illness or loss, and I choose to participate voluntarily with full knowledge of those risks.
Declaration of fitness
- ✓I confirm I am medically fit to take part in physical outdoor activity.
- ✓I have disclosed any relevant medical conditions, allergies or needs in my registration.
- ✓I will not take part in tasks beyond my physical ability and will stop if I feel unwell.
Release of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless The Reset Foundation, its trustees, staff, coordinators and volunteers from any claims, liability, or damages arising from my participation, except where caused by gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
Emergency medical consent
In the event of injury or illness during an activity, I consent to receiving first aid and, if necessary, to being transported for emergency medical treatment. I accept responsibility for any resulting medical costs.
Photography and media consent
I grant The Reset Foundation permission to take photographs and video at events and to use them for awareness, reporting, fundraising and promotional purposes across our website, social media and print, without payment. If you do not wish to appear in media, please tell a coordinator on the day and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Personal property
The Reset Foundation is not responsible for the loss of or damage to any personal belongings brought to an event. Please keep valuables to a minimum.
Accuracy of information and data consent
- ✓I confirm that the information provided in my registration is true and accurate.
- ✓I consent to The Reset Foundation storing and processing my personal details for volunteer coordination, safety and communication, in line with applicable data-protection law.
Registration fee
The one-time registration fee covers volunteer onboarding, ID card and certificate. It is a contribution towards our programme costs and is generally non-refundable. For any billing query, contact info@theresetfoundation.org.in.
Governing law
This Waiver and Consent is governed by the laws of India, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Rajasthan.
